Why Bonnie Glen?
The name Circle Ranch at Bonnie Glen honors the life of a remarkable young woman whose love for the Lord, for others, and especially for children continues to impact lives today.
Bonnie was a devoted Christian who faithfully served in her church, sang in the youth choir, and approached life with determination, compassion, and quiet strength. She was gifted in mathematics, earned a bachelor's degree in the field, and was known for her independent spirit and her ability to accomplish anything she set her mind to.
Above all, Bonnie loved people—and she had a special place in her heart for children. Although Bonnie's life ended far too soon, her parents believed her story didn't have to end there.
A Vision United by Faith
After meeting Circle Ranch founder Jody Sandwick through Grace Fellowship Church in Watkinsville, Bonnie's parents were introduced to the vision of creating a Christ-centered residential foster care community for children across Northeast Georgia.
As they prayed about how to honor Bonnie's memory, they felt called to invest in a mission they believed she would have deeply loved.
In 2022, their generosity made it possible to completely pay off the Circle Ranch property through a transformative gift allowing the ministry to move forward without the burden of land debt.
Because of their generosity, this property became more than a piece of land.
It became a place set apart for children to experience safety, healing, belonging, and hope.
A Legacy That Continues
In recognition of both Bonnie's life and her family's extraordinary generosity, the Circle Ranch Board of Directors chose to name the property Circle Ranch at Bonnie Glen.
Today, Bonnie's legacy lives on through every child who will one day call this place home.
Her family's faithful support has continued beyond that initial gift through additional financial contributions, equipment donations, and annual giving—all helping prepare the ranch for the children and families it will serve for generations to come.
Their generosity is a beautiful reminder that a legacy of love can continue long after a life has ended.
